Christine Long


Christine Long was appointed Vice-Chair of the Board in May 2016, and has been a full-time member since June 2012. She is a lawyer and former partner at Borden Ladner Gervais LLP. While in private practice for 13 years she specialized in the areas of energy regulation, litigation and corporate law. She was in-house counsel at the Independent Electricity System Operator from 2000-2002. Ms. Long holds an LL.B from the University of Windsor and both a Bachelor of Arts degree in Administrative and Commercial Studies and a Diploma in Honours Standing in Political Science from the University of Western Ontario. She is a graduate of the Rotman School of Management Directors Education Program and she holds a Certificate in Adjudication for Administrative Agencies, Boards and Tribunals from Osgoode Law School and the Society of Ontario Adjudicators and Regulators. Ms. Long is also a former member of the Ontario Bar Association’s Governing Council.
