The Advisory Committee on Innovation will help the OEB better understand and identify action items and priorities we can consider to better enable and leverage innovation by regulated utilities - as outlined in the OEB’s five-year Strategic Blueprint. The Committee will focus on identifying actions that a regulator can take that will support and enable cost effective innovation, grid modernization and consumer choice to help inform regulatory policy development. Chaired by Paul Murphy, the Committee is comprised of members with a diverse range of skills and experience.

November 22, 2018 - The Advisory Committee on Innovation has submitted its recommendations to the Chair of the OEB on actions to support innovation in Ontario’s energy sector.
The OEB held a stakeholder forum on January 16, 2019, to discuss the contents of the report and provide feedback. As a follow-up to the session, all interested parties are welcome to submit written comments to the OEB by January 25, 2019. Comments should be sent to BoardSec@oeb.ca and include EB-2018-0287 in the subject line.
