Chapleau Public Utilities Corporation

Chapleau Public Utilities Corporation has applied to the Ontario Energy Board to raise its electricity distribution rates effective May 1, 2019. If the application is approved as filed, a typical residential customer and a typical general service customer of Chapleau Public Utilities Corporation would see the following increases:

Residential (750 kWh) $1.96 per month
General Service < 50 kW (2,000 kWh) $17.40 per month

Other customers, including businesses, may also be affected. The above noted residential customer bill impact includes reductions under the Distribution Rate Protection program.

Submit a letter of comment

You can submit a letter of comment that will be considered by the Board deciding the application. Unless the notice states otherwise, your letter of comment must be received by the Board no later than 60 days after the publication or service date of the notice for the application.

Your letter will be provided directly to the panel of Board members who will be deciding whether the application is approved. The panel will consider your comments in reaching their decision. In reaching its decision, the panel will only be able to consider comments which relate to issues which are within the authority of the Board and relevant to the issues being considered by the panel.
