Tribute Energy Storage Inc.'s application for the de-designation of the Bayfield and Stanley reservoirs


Tribute Energy Storage Inc. has applied for an order to revoke the designation of the natural gas storage areas known as the Bayfield Pool and Stanley 4-7-XI Pool, in the Township of Stanley.

Tribute Energy Storage Inc. has applied to the Ontario Energy Board for an order to revoke the designation of the natural gas storage areas known as the Stanley 4-7-XI Pool and the Bayfield Pool, located in the Township of Stanley, in the County of Huron. If the request for revocation is granted, Tribute Energy Storage Inc. plans to develop the pools as compressed air energy storage facilities. Tribute Energy Storage Inc. says that it has also applied to the Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry for approval to inject/withdraw compressed air into/from the storage pools.

The Stanley 4-7-XI Pool and the Bayfield Pool reservoirs were approved by the Ontario Energy Board as designated storage areas in a previous Decision and Order (EB-2011-0076/EB-2011-0077/EB-2011-0078), dated December 21, 2012.

Submit a letter of comment

You can submit a letter of comment that will be considered by the Board deciding the application. Unless the notice states otherwise, your letter of comment must be received by the Board no later than 60 days after the publication or service date of the notice for the application.

Your letter will be provided directly to the panel of Board members who will be deciding whether the application is approved. The panel will consider your comments in reaching their decision. In reaching its decision, the panel will only be able to consider comments which relate to issues which are within the authority of the Board and relevant to the issues being considered by the panel.
