Enbridge Gas Inc. has applied for approval to construct approximately 2 kilometres of natural gas pipeline in the Township of North Dumfries within the Regional Municipality of Waterloo.
If the application is approved as filed, Enbridge Gas Inc. proposes to relocate an existing section of natural gas pipeline in the Township of North Dumfries with the proposed 2 kilometre pipeline also in the Township of North Dumfries. Enbridge Gas Inc. has also applied for approval of the forms of land use agreements it offers to landowners to use their land for construction of the proposed pipeline.
Enbridge Gas Inc. says that the existing pipeline was constructed in the 1950s and must be relocated because it no longer complies with the Canadian Standards Association’s class location requirements due to changes in the manner in which the surrounding land is now used.
A map of the proposed pipeline project is provided in the application notice below.
