The OEB is amending the Retail Settlement Code (RSC) and the Standard Supply Service Code (SSSC) to facilitate the implementation of the renewed market under the Market Renewal Program (MRP) which the Independent Electricity System Operator (IESO) has indicated it is targeting to go live on May 1, 2025.

The OEB has issued the final Notice of Amendments to the Retail Settlement Code (RSC) and the Standard Supply Service Code (SSSC) that are intended to facilitate the implementation of the Market Renewal Program (MRP) and will come into force on the date the MRP goes live. The Notice also provides guidance to electricity distributors related to the new term to use on the electricity bills of non-Regulated Price Plan consumers to replace the Hourly Ontario Energy Price.

The OEB has issued a Notice of Proposal to amend the Retail Settlement Code (RSC) and the Standard Supply Service Code (SSSC). These proposed amendments are intended to facilitate the implementation of the renewed market under the IESO’s Market Renewal Program (MRP). The OEB invites stakeholders to provide feedback on the proposal by March 18, 2025 .
