In October 2003, the Board proposed a number of changes to the Code of Conduct for Gas Marketers and the Electricity Retailer Code of Conduct to reflect changes in legislation, including the Reliable Energy and Consumer Protection Act, 2002, and the Electricity Pricing, Conservation and Supply Act, 2002. A public consultation followed and on December 20, 2004, the Board amended the codes, effective March 21, 2005.
