In recognition of an evolving electricity sector, the Ontario Energy Board (OEB) has completed a review of the standard value used to denote the electricity consumption of a typical residential customer in Ontario. The OEB has determined the value will remain 750 kWh.

This standard consumption value is widely used by distributors and the OEB to illustrate how changes in electricity rates and charges would impact electricity customers.
