Recent amendments to the SSSC

3. Amendments to enable electricity consumers on the Regulated Price Plan to opt in to a new Ultra-Low Overnight (ULO) Price Plan. These amendments came into force on January 1, 2023 (EB-2022-0160). Electricity distributors must offer the ULO price plan no later than November 1, 2023; those distributors who are able to make it available earlier may do so as of May 1, 2023. 2. Amendments to enable electricity consumers on the Regulated Price Plan (RPP) to opt out of time-of-use prices and to elect instead to be charged on the basis of tiered pricing. These amendments came into force on October 13, 2020 (EB-2020-0152). More information | October 13, 2020 version (pdf)
