The OEB is pleased to announce the appointment of Nancy Marconi to the role of Chief Operating Officer (COO), effective April 1, 2026. Ms. Marconi joined the OEB in 2016, was named Registrar in 2022 and Acting COO in 2025. She is passionate about the OEB's work to support the delivery of affordable, secure, reliable and clean energy that enables economic growth in Ontario.

The OEB has posted Price Comparison templates for Natural Gas Contracts for Kitchener Utilities valid from April 1, 2026.

The OEB is seeking stakeholder comments on draft updates to the Non‑Wires Solutions Guidelines, including a new appendix providing guidance on Stream 2 local electricity demand‑side management programs. Comments on the proposed amendments are due by April 21, 2026.

The OEB has released a new information sheet that explains how active adjudication supports more efficient and cost‑effective regulatory proceedings.

On October 15, 2025, the Chief Commissioner of the Ontario Energy Board (OEB) issued a letter indicating the OEB’s intention to commence a generic proceeding to conduct a limited review of the Model Franchise Agreement. The OEB is now initiating this proceeding on its own motion pursuant to section 19 of the Ontario Energy Board Act, 1998.

The OEB has approved changes to the prices Enbridge and EPCOR will charge its customers for natural gas effective April 1, 2026.

The OEB has posted Price Comparison templates for Natural Gas Contracts for Enbridge and EPCOR valid from April 1 - June 30, 2026.

The OEB has issued the 2027 versions of the DVA Continuity Schedule, Commodity Accounts Analysis Workform, and PILs Workform for use in 2027 Cost of Service applications. Distributors filing for the 2027 rate year must use these updated workforms and instructions when preparing their applications.

The OEB has updated the Electricity Reporting and Record Keeping Requirements (RRR) for certain electricity licensees and enhanced the Filing Portal to streamline reporting. The updates introduce new reporting requirements and improve portal functionality to reduce manual reporting effort. Unless noted otherwise, the changes apply to annual filings due on or after April 30, 2026.

The OEB has released an updated variance settlement factor that is to be used by electricity distributors to calculate a one-time credit or charge for consumers who choose to stop purchasing electricity through the Regulated Price Plan. This factor is called the "Final RPP Variance Settlement Factor" and is updated on the OEB website monthly.
