September 18, 2013

Board staff has issued a letter announcing the the commencement of an electricity distribution reliability standards initiative.

This initiative will focus on the establishment of specific performance standards for the existing system reliability measures (SAIDI and SAIFI). This initiative will also work on the development and implementation of new customer specific reliability measures (e.g. customers experiencing multiple interruptions), and the monitoring of momentary outages.

June 13, 2013

The Board has issued a Notice of Amendments to section 2.1.4.2 of the Electricity Reporting and Record Keeping Requirements. These amendments will implement new and revised reporting requirements related to system reliability.

The Board has received the following submissions on the Notice of Proposed Amendments.

The Board has issued a Notice of Proposed Amendments to section 2.1.4.2 of the Electricity Reporting and Record Keeping Requirements. These amendments will implement new and revised reporting requirements related to system reliability.

The Board also issued a Board Staff Report which provides an overview of the results of consultations held with stakeholders on system reliability reporting.

Board staff issued a letter inviting a small group of distributors and other interested parties to form a Reliability Data Working Group.

January 4, 2012

Board staff posted written comments received in response to staff questions relating to the consistency of distribution system reliability data used by distributors across the province.

November 23, 2011

Board staff has issued a letter outlining Phase 2 in the initiative to develop system reliability standards for electricity distributors. The purpose of this stage will be to facilitate the consistency of the reliability data used by distributors across the province. Staff also wishes to invite a small group of distributors and other interested parties to form a Reliability Data Working Group.

March 31, 2011

The Board has issued a letter outlining the next stage in the initiative to develop system reliability standards for electricity distributors. This letter is issued along with a Board Staff Report to the Board which documents the recent consultation on the development of system reliability standards and sets out Board staff’s recommendations to the Board.

The Board has issued a letter providing further details regarding the stakeholder conference being held on Friday October 15th, including a list of issues to be discussed. This letter also provides an overview of the results of customer surveys the Board has completed and a summary of distributors’ responses to questions that were posed in the August 23, 2010 announcement.

The Board has posted distributor responses to questions regarding their current system reliability practices, posed in the Board’s August 23, 2010 letter.

The Board today issued a letter introducing an initiative to develop system reliability standards for electricity distributors. This letter poses a number of questions that the Board requests electricity distributors answer regarding their current system reliability practices.
