The OEB resumed its review of whether we should adopt a different model regarding the representation of consumer interests in OEB proceedings.

A first phase of this review was completed in 2014. As a result, the OEB implemented several procedural and administrative changes to our existing intervenor funding process, strengthening transparency and accountability (Intervenor Phase 1 Consultation).

On April 13, 2016, the OEB announced a more comprehensive approach for engaging and empowering electricity and natural gas consumers throughout the OEB’s decision-making process.
