Details

The Board initiated a consultation process to examine the issue of cost responsibility associated with the connection of generation and load facilities to electricity transmission systems. The Board decided to examine its cost responsibility policies for a variety of reasons, including the large number of connections that were expected to be required for generation facilities using renewable sources of energy.

October 20, 2009	The Board has adopted final amendments to the Transmission System Code that address issues associated with “enabler facilities” that connect renewable generation facilities to the transmission grid, including how those facilities are identified and the allocation of cost responsibility for them.
