The OEB has amended the Distribution System Code (DSC), requiring licensed electricity distributors to share information, upon request, about distributed energy resources that are connected to their distribution systems with the Independent Electricity System Operator. The amendments, which are responsive to the Minister of Energy and Mines’ Integrated Energy Planning Directive, come into force on August 1, 2026.
