The OEB has launched its Regional Planning Reform Implementation initiative to implement recommendations set out in its March 2026 Report to the Ministry of Energy and Mines, Review of Ontario’s Regional and Bulk Electricity Planning Processes. The initiative aims to streamline regional electricity planning, improve load forecasting, clarify roles and expectations for stakeholders, and support more co-ordinated, cost-effective investments to meet growing electricity demand.
