The OEB has issued a letter to inform stakeholders of the membership of the newly constituted Regional Planning Process Advisory Group (RPPAG) and the scope of the RPPAG’s work to assist the OEB with its review of the regional planning process.

The OEB has set new electricity prices for households and small businesses for January 1 to January 28, 2021. In accordance with regulatory amendments made today, all consumers on the Regulated Price Plan will pay a fixed price of 8.5 ¢/kWh for all the electricity they consume, regardless of the time of day or the total volume consumed.

The OEB has issued guidance to regulated entities on the implementation of the 8.5 ¢/kWh fixed price that will apply to all electricity consumption from January 1 to January 28, 2021 by consumers on the Regulated Price Plan.

The OEB has released an updated variance settlement factor that is to be used by electricity distributors to calculate a one-time credit or charge for consumers who choose to stop purchasing electricity through the Regulated Price Plan. This factor is called the "Final RPP Variance Settlement Factor" and is updated on the OEB website monthly.
