Bob Dodds was appointed as a full-time Commissioner in October 2020, having previously served as a Vice Chair and Commissioner of the OEB since 2018. Dr. Dodds has worked in executive and operational roles in the private utility sector in the US and Canada, which included electricity generation, electricity distribution, drinking water treatment and distribution and wastewater treatment. Dr. Dodds also has over 40 years of experience in the mining and gas pipeline construction sectors in engineering, design and operation, health and safety policies, First Nation agreements and environmental protection policies. He has served as CEO and Executive Director of publicly traded mine exploration companies and has served on advisory panels for large Canadian mining companies. He is also on the advisory board for a unique self heating meals product with world wide sales. 

Dr. Dodds holds BASc and MASc degrees in Civil Engineering from the University of Toronto and a PhD in Geotechnical Engineering from the University of Waterloo. He served as an Adjunct Professor at the University of Waterloo and a Teaching Master at Conestoga College.
