Nalin Sahni

Nalin Sahni was appointed as a Commissioner in September 2026. He brings more than 20 years of energy sector and academic experience in Canada and the United States, including at Dentons Canada LLP, the Ontario Ministry of the Environment and the Brookings Institution. Mr. Sahni worked for 12 years at Toronto Hydro in a series of progressively senior leadership roles including enterprise risk management and corporate compliance.

Mr. Sahni holds a Juris Doctor from the University of Toronto, a Master of Environmental Management from Yale University and a Bachelor of Science in geological engineering from Queen's University. He was also an Adjunct Professor of Natural Resources Management at Osgoode Hall Law School.
