Acting Chief Operating Officer

Nancy Marconi leads the OEB’s strategy and operations related to utility regulation, application adjudication, consumer protection and compliance. She is passionate about the OEB’s work to deliver public value and its efforts to enable Ontario’s growing economy.

A key focus of Ms. Marconi’s work is advancing the OEB as a nimble, forward-thinking and innovative regulator that is equipped to respond to emerging challenges and new opportunities. She helps to ensure that the OEB’s work is carried out in a thoughtful, effective and collaborative manner.

Joining the OEB as Manager, Supply & Infrastructure Applications, in 2016, Ms. Marconi took on the role of Registrar in 2022, deciding preliminary matters in adjudicative applications, and improving the efficiency and effectiveness of the regulatory process. She is also the OEB’s Executive Champion for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion. 

Ms. Marconi is known for building and managing strong, capable teams that achieve results. Having worked in leadership positions across the energy sector, including at the Independent Electricity System Operator and the Ontario Power Authority, Ms. Marconi brings a unique and integrated view to the OEB, understanding the nuances of being both a regulated entity and a regulator.

Ms. Marconi is an electrical engineer, with a degree from Western University, and holds a Master of Business Administration from Wilfrid Laurier University.
