The OEB has commenced a new initiative related to reliability measures and objectives. The purpose of the initiative is to:

  • Determine a definition of a “Major Event” that will be used to normalize reliability performance data.
  • Develop criteria and new reporting requirements that will be used to evaluate a distributor’s response to a Major Event.
  • Establish “customer specific” system reliability measures and associated new reporting requirements.
