Winter time-of-use hours for electricity begin November 1

The Ontario Energy Board (OEB) is reminding households and small businesses that the winter time-of-use (TOU) hours for the Regulated Price Plan (RPP) begin on November 1.

The tier threshold for residential customers that are paying tiered RPP prices is also changing. The RPP prices themselves are not changing.

The table below shows the winter TOU hours that will begin to apply on November 1, 2018, together with the associated TOU prices.

The table below shows the winter tier thresholds for RPP customers who pay tiered prices, together with the associated tiered prices:

Non-residential customers:  for electricity used above 750 kWh/month (no change from summer period)

8.9 ¢/kWh

 

The Global Adjustment (GA) credit set by the OEB on May 1, 2018 is also not changing on November 1, 2018.  That credit applies to certain eligible customers, including those that are eligible for the RPP but have chosen a contract with an energy retailer or market-based pricing.
