We protect the interests of consumers and deliver public value that contributes to Ontario’s economic, social and environmental development.

What's New

The Ontario Energy Board is pleased to welcome two new members to our Board of Directors. Cheryl Fort and Michael Liebrock join our existing Board members to strengthen trust within the sector through strong leadership and governance.

The OEB has released annual reliability performance improvement targets and peer group assignments for all rate-regulated electricity distributors. These targets and peer group assignments are based on 2020-2024 reliability data, reflecting each distributor’s historical performance trend and benchmarking results. This update builds on the OEB’s January 2025 methodology for setting enhanced reliability performance expectations. The new targets will be applied when distributors file for new base rates effective in 2027 and beyond. Distributors are expected to incorporate these targets into their rebasing applications and scorecards. The targets will remain in effect until new ones are set through future rebasing applications.

The OEB invites stakeholders to a meeting on October 14, 2025, to advance the development of a DSO roadmap as part of its DSO Capabilities consultation.
