The OEB has posted Price Comparison templates for Natural Gas Contracts for Enbridge and EPCOR valid from April 1 - June 30, 2021.

The OEB has issued a letter setting out proposed priority workstreams to be undertaken in the near term and the approach to work in the Sector Evolution consultations: Utility Remuneration (EB-2018-0287) and Responding to Distributed Energy Resources (EB-2018-0288). The letter also announces the renaming of these consultations to Framework for Energy Innovation: Distributed Resources and Utility Incentives (EB-2021-0118).

The OEB has posted the updated electricity supply mix data information for 2020. As per Ontario Regulation 416/99 made under the OEB Act, and the OEB’s Directive, this information is required to be disclosed to Ontario consumers.

The OEB has released an updated variance settlement factor that is to be used by electricity distributors to calculate a one-time credit or charge for consumers who choose to stop purchasing electricity through the Regulated Price Plan. This factor is called the "Final RPP Variance Settlement Factor" and is updated on the OEB website monthly.

To simplify requirements for licensed electricity distributors, the OEB is making improvements to the Reporting and Record-keeping Requirements (RRR) and has identified changes to the Electricity Distributor Scorecard.

The OEB has posted its report on the 2019 results of LEAP Emergency Financial Assistance (LEAP EFA).

The OEB has published the 2021 Quarter 2 prescribed accounting interest rates applicable to the carrying charges of deferral, variance and construction work in progress (CWIP) accounts of natural gas utilities, electricity distributors and other rate-regulated entities.

The OEB has posted revised versions of its Rules of Practice and Procedure and Practice Directions. The revisions are primarily administrative in nature, and reflect the recent changes to the OEB’s governance structure and its digitization initiative.

The OEB has accepted an Assurance of Voluntary Compliance from Essex Powerlines Corporation following a self-report by the company regarding non-compliance with the regulatory requirements for disconnection. The OEB is committed to protecting consumers by ensuring that regulated companies fulfill all of their regulatory requirements prior to disconnecting a customer.

Beginning February 23, 2021, residential and small business customers will resume paying Time-of-Use and Tiered pricing under the Regulated Price Plan at prices that were set by the Ontario Energy Board on December 15, 2020.
