Data Inventory

Ontario's Digital and Data Directive ensures the delivery of high-quality digital services and access to public government data, unless it is exempt for legal, privacy, security, confidentiality or commercially-sensitive reasons. The directive sets out key principles and requirements for the design of digital services and the sharing of open government data assets.

Electricity Reporting & Record Keeping Requirements (RRR): Section 2.1.8 Residential and Low-Income Customer Billing and Payment

Provides information related to number of eligible low-income customer accounts, disconnections for non-payment, arrears, write offs, equal billing, security deposits and load control devices for both residential customers and eligible low-income customers. Note that the start year for this data file is 2015.

Electricity Reporting & Record Keeping Requirements (RRR): Section 2.1.9 Ontario Electricity Support Program (OESP)

Provides data related to distributor’s provision of the OESP. Note that the start year for this data file is 2016.

Electricity Reporting & Record Keeping Requirements (RRR): Sections 2.1.14 and 2.1.14.1 Net Metering and Embedded Generation Information

Provides data related to net metered generators and embedded generation facilities connected to an electricity distributor’s distribution system.

The data points that were left blank by the distributors have been populated with zeros.

Historical Regulated Price Plan Electricity Rates

Lists historical Time-of-Use and Tiered electricity rates as established under the Regulated Price Plan.

Intervenor Cost Awards

Details on the funding awarded to intervenors each fiscal year in respect of their participation in OEB proceedings and consultations.

Licensed Market Participants

List of entities licensed by the OEB. In the electricity sector, the following persons must be licensed by the OEB: distributors; transmitters; generators; retailers; wholesalers; unit sub-meter providers; the Independent Electricity System Operator; and the Smart Metering Entity. In the natural gas sector, entities that are marketing natural gas to low-volume consumers must be licensed by the OEB.

Yearbooks of Electricity and Natural Gas Distributors

The Yearbooks of Electricity Distributors and the Yearbooks of Natural Gas Distributors provide financial and operational information collected from distributors. Information presented in the Yearbooks is compiled from data submitted through the Reporting and Record-Keeping Requirements (RRR). Information that is kept confidential under the RRRs is not included here.
